Evaluation of Processing Tomato Pomace after Composting on Soil Properties, Yield, and Quality of Processing Tomato in Greece

While processing tomato cultivation (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is considered one of the most important industrial crops in Greece, a waste known as pomace growing significantly high. Notably, presents enormous opportunities for creations organic fertilizers. The aim this study was to investigate use fertilizer same crop. A field experiment established at Agricultural University Athens during 2018 and 2019 randomized complete design with five treatments (control, inorganic NPK (NPK), Tomato Biocycle Humus Soil (Tp BHS), Farmyard manure FYM), Compost CM). Additionally, nitrogen content ranged from 0.10% (control NPK) 0.13% FYM). significant increase yield noticed under fertilization where highest 8.00 tn ha?1 recorded Tp BHS (2018). Lycopene affected its values 87.25 BHS; 2018), 88.82 mg kg?1 fresh FYM; 2019). Regarding fruit firmness, three blends did not have statistically difference. In addition, Total Soluble Solids (TSS) maximum value 4.80 ?Brix CM; 2018). brief, blended fertilizers yielded considerable since it quality increased yield.
